Dio benedica l'America! Questa domenica ha, finalmente, preso il via la stagione di premiazioni 2011: un mese e mezzo di cinema e serie televisive, di attori e cantanti, di star e starlette, che, dai Golden Globes appena assegnati, ci condurrà all'attesissima e opulenta cerimonia degli Oscar. I cinefili staranno scorrendo con la mente le performance dei loro interpreti preferiti, passando in rassegna le pellicole che hanno amato e recuperando quelle che non sono riusciti a vedere, ma una riflessione è d'obbligo: quando si parla di award season a chi è che frega qualcosa dei film? Siamo seri: gli unici veri protagonisti di questo circo stravagante, che solo Hollywood poteva sceneggiare, sono i VESTITI!!
E', perciò, obbligatorio, almeno per quanto ci riguarda, passare in rassegna le scelte di moda, più o meno azzardate, che le grandi star fanno in queste occasioni e che, molto spesso, sono il barometro delle tendenze dei mesi successivi.

This Sunday the 2011 Award Season has finally kicked off: more than a month full of cinema and television series, actors and singers, stars and starlets that, from the Golden Globes, will lead us to the anticipated and opulent Oscar ceremony. Cinema junkies are going to rethink of all their favorite performances, remembering all the films they've loved in the past year and trying to see the ones they haven't seen yet; but a reflection here it's mandatory: when it comes to award season who cares about the movies? Please, let's be serious: the only main characters in this bizarre circus, that only Hollywood could dramatize, are the CLOTHES!
This is why it's so important, at least for us, to look at all the fashion choices, the wisest and the silliest, that big movie stars are going to make in this month, which are very often the barometer of future trends.

Ormai si prediligono, per fortuna, piccole pietre, che emanano un bagliore delicato, abbinate a tessuti morbidi e tonalità neutre; un abito luccicante è sempre molto femminile ed è un'ottima alternativa a metodi più "invasivi" per attirare gli sguardi sul corpo della donna. Le paillettes sembrano anche abbastanza democratiche: non sono, per forza, riservate alle pre-adolescenti, possono essere indossate, con una certa dignità, anche dalle donne più mature, come ci dimostrano Sandra Bullock e la sua frangia da Bobtail (

It seems that the love story between women and SEQUINS is going to last. Thankfully the most liked are the small ones, which give a delicate glow, combined with soft fabrics and neutral tones; a sparkling dress is always feminine and offers a great alternative to "invasive" ways of drawing attention to woman's body. Sequins seem also to be very democratic: they are not necessarily reserved to pre-adolescents, they can be worn, with a certain amount of dignity, also by older women, as shown by Sandra Bullock (3), and her Bobtail bang, in Jenny Packham. Scarlett Johansson (2) has chosen to shine too, in her Elie Saab dress, maybe hoping in the therapeutic effect of the princess gown, even if her thin face seems to say «that bastard left me to hang out with that oldie with the Bobtail bang!». Happier, and healthier, at least in real life, Olivia Wilde (1) chose a gorgeous Marchesa.
